About

Princess Liz, Haitian American recording artist and a proud immigrant who came to the United States at the age of 6, embarked on a missionary trip to Haiti in December 2009. Her 12-day journey took an unexpected turn when a devastating earthquake struck the day before her scheduled return. What followed was a five-month stay, during which she selflessly served, counseled, and provided for hundreds of people in a local hospital. By the time she returned to the U.S., she had embraced eight children who now called her "mom."
Within three months of her return, Louisette rented a home, hired staff, and established an orphanage in Haiti. Initially, the orphanage could accommodate only 30 children, but it soon became a refuge as more children were left at its doorstep.
Today, the orphanage faces unimaginable challenges due to escalating gang violence in Haiti. For over three years, transportation blockades have prevented the delivery of essential supplies, leaving the children without adequate clothing, food, and water. Schools frequently close, and the rising violence has had tragic consequences. Last year, one of the boys at the orphanage was fatally shot for refusing to join a gang. In December 2024, a gang attacked the home of a local pastor, killing him, his wife, and their young daughter in a horrific act of violence. These events have traumatized the children and staff to such an extent that they now leave the orphanage each night to sleep on the steps of the local police station for safety.
This dire situation is unacceptable. Children deserve to live with dignity, safety, and access to basic humanitarian rights. We urgently call for your support to safeguard the lives and futures of these vulnerable children. Join our task force as we work to protect and uplift Haiti's most vulnerable. Together, we can make a difference.
