The Haitian Taskforce was established under Children for Change International — a nonprofit dedicated to protecting and advancing the rights of children through advocacy, education, leadership development, and community engagement.

How the Haitian Taskforce began
The Haitian Taskforce was born after gangs in Haiti raided a home near the Now for Christ Orphanage, led by Princess Liz.
During this horrific incident, a 4-year-old girl, Islore Joseph, was stabbed to death by gangs in Petite Rivière de l'Artibonite. Her family was killed, and her body was thrown into the street. The scene deeply traumatized the children at the orphanage.
At that moment, this was no longer only a tragedy — it became personal. Immediate calls were made for the Haitian diaspora to come together. The fight was no longer only in Haiti; it had crossed borders.
This became a children's rights issue, a human rights issue, and a call for advocacy, protection, and urgent intervention.
Who we are
The Haitian Taskforce works to promote, protect, and defend the rights and dignity of the Haitian people. We raise awareness of human rights issues affecting Haiti and the Haitian diaspora while encouraging peaceful solutions, civic participation, youth leadership, and community empowerment.
